Brian Bataille

Mr. Bataille is the Chief Data Officer for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). He previously served as the Senior Defense Intelligence Agency Liaison to the United Kingdom. Prior to that overseas assignment, he was the Senior Expert for Technical Exploitation at the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC). He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Syracuse University. He holds a postgraduate degree in Strategic Intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College and a Juris Doctorate from the George Washington University Law School. He is a graduate of Air War College, the Department of State National Security Executive Leadership Seminar and the Joint Flag Officer Warfare Course. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and previously the American Academy of Forensic Science. Prior to joining DIA, Mr. Bataille served on active duty in the Air Force, assigned to the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center and Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) at multiple locations. Mr. Bataille also served as Principal Engineer and Associate Department Head for the MITRE Corporation and as a Senior Program Manager and Senior Security Engineer in commercial industry. Mr. Bataille was mobilized in support of both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom and remains a USAF reservist Wing-level commander for AFOSI.
