Chris Painter oversees the digital engineering foundation on which many of Peraton’s solutions are built for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). In this capacity, Chris drives his teams to produce technical solutions needed across modernization initiatives.

Chris’s experience includes leadership of the team that built and manages the world’s largest network for the DOD. Chris also brings global commercial experience from previous leadership of Shell Oil workplace engineering. Chris has extensive expertise with transformation, modernization, automation, development, implementation and production support.

Chris approaches modern engineering with a model based on agile development, codified automation, and risk management. Along with an architecture that allows for continuous improvement, fast upgrades and regular feature updates, the result is that he gives customers a high-performing system and an improved user experience.

Chris is a veteran who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, attended Campbell University and loves the outdoors with his family.
