Chris Wallace is a seasoned technology executive with over 17 years in the Federal and commercial IT space. Currently serving as the Division Chief of the Systems Delivery Division at the Office of Information Technology for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), he oversees the successful delivery of more than 180 IT solutions that redefine the digital experience for internal users and external stakeholders in the stewardship and workflow of the immigration process. Under his leadership, the division manages an annual budget ranging from $145M to $185M, while leading both in-house Federal teams and a network of over 700 contractor partners.
With a profound knack for leadership, Chris’s guidance has ensured seamless operations, managing a diverse group of professionals, from engineers to product managers. His accomplishments notably include fostering a resilient and success-driven culture, emphasizing people-centric strategies and innovative delivery practices. This has positioned his division at the cutting edge of software delivery within the Federal Government, setting industry benchmarks in the process. Beyond his professional accolades, Chris is known for his articulate communication skills, his ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, and his dedication to fostering meaningful relationships. Before joining USCIS, Chris supported Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as the Branch Chief supporting Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) programs. Here, he spearheaded the transformation of the agency from traditional delivery methods to Agile practices, overseeing an annual budget of roughly $100M.
