Clif Basnight is the Vice President for Strategic Technologies at Ultra Intelligence & Communications, where he is responsible for analyzing current and emerging markets to identify opportunities for growth through the development and/or acquisition of innovative technologies. In this role, he leads strategic growth initiatives across Ultra I&C on behalf of the Chief Growth Officer.
Mr. Basnight joined Ultra I&C in 2023 after a broad career spanning 24 years in the U.S. Army and the Defense Industrial Base. His career included various leadership roles in intelligence analysis, network engineering, information architecture, product development, business development, capture, and sales.
During his 17 years of service in the U.S. Army, Mr. Basnight held positions as both a Soldier and Civil Servant. His culminating role as a Soldier was as an All-Source Intelligence Master Analyst (1F) in the 4th Infantry Division, where he was responsible for the integration of emerging SIGINT, ELINT, and HUMINT applications in support of targeting. As an Army Civil Servant, his final role was as the Chief Engineer for Product Manager Network Systems under the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T). In this position, he orchestrated the network modernization strategy for the PdM's portfolio of tactical network solutions deployed across the Army. He also led network operations activities for the Army's premier experimentation and integration event.
Mr. Basnight holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College and a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He received a Bronze Star during Operation Iraqi Freedom and is a recipient of the Signal Corps Regimental Association Bronze Order of Mercury.
