COL Bettye Dufour

Army National Guard (ARNG)
Colonel Bettye A. Dufour currently serves as the Chief of the Force Development
Division for the Army National Guard at National Guard Bureau in Arlington, Virginia. She
manages the process of equipment modernization for Army National Guard working with
stakeholders in the 54 states and territories, ARNG staff and HQDA staff to ensure that Army
National Guard Soldiers have the resource they need to fight and win the nation’s wars.
COL Dufour previously served in multiple operational and staff roles in the state of
Arkansas and National Capitol Region with leadership roles from leading a platoon to
Commanding a Battalion and Army Aviation Support Facility. She has deployed to Iraq, Kosovo,
and the Southwest Border in her operational assignments and worked on the Army and Army
National Guard staffs in the Pentagon and at the National Guard Readiness Center in Arlington.
Bettye’s primary military branch is Aviation, and she is qualified on multiple platforms to
include: the OH-58 A/C “Kiowa”, UH-1 “Iroquois”, UH-60 “Blackhawk”, and UH-72 “Lakota”.
