Colonel Quinter was commissioned in August 1999 after graduating from North Carolina State University. He assumed his current duties as the Assistant Chief of Staff G-6 for 3d Marine Aircraft Wing in July 2022. Colonel Quinter's operating force assignments include: Platoon Commander, Training Officer, Operations Officer, and Executive Officer, Communications Company, 2d Marine Division; S-6 and Platoon Commander, 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment; S-6 and Platoon Commander, Battalion Landing Team 1/8, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit; Information Systems Management Officer, Headquarters Company, 6th Marine Regiment; Charlie Company Commander, Bravo Company Commander, and Battalion Operations Officer, 9th Communication Battalion; PACOM Regional Plans Officer and Red Team OIC, G-5, I Marine Expeditionary Force; MAGTF Plans Officer, Future Operations Officer, and Force Management Officer, Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Afghanistan; S-6, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit; Assistant Chief of Staff G-6, 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade and Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff G-6, I Marine Expeditionary Force; Assistant Chief of Staff G-6, 3d Marine Aircraft Wing. Colonel Quinter earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University, a Master of Science in Management and Leadership (MSML) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the George L. Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, a Master of Science (M.S.) in National Security Strategy from the National War College and a Cyber Security Leadership Certificate from the College of Information and Cyberspace, National Defense University. He is a graduate of The Basic School, Communication Information Systems Officer Course, Expeditionary Warfare School, Advanced Communication Officer Course, College of Naval Command and Staff, Maritime Advanced Warfighting School, and the National War College. Colonel Quinter is a General Robert H. Barrow Fellow for Strategic Competition, an 0505 MAGTF Plans Officer, an 0603 Advanced C4 Planner, and a 9702 Joint Qualified Officer. Colonel Quinter's personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with two gold stars, the Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star, the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon with gold star.
