780th Military Intelligence Brigade (Cyber)

Command Sergeant Major Jesse C. Potter assumed responsibility as the Command Sergeant Major for the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade, on 03 October 2022.
A New York native, he enlisted in the United States Army in January 1994 completing One Station Unit Training as a Chemical Operations Specialist, later reclassifying to Electronic Warfare in 2009, and Cyber Operations in 2015. Since that time, his career has led him to numerous leadership and staff assignments at tactical, operational, and strategic levels in the Army.
CSM Potter’s previous assignments include U.S. Army Cyber Protection Brigade, Fort Eisenhower, GA; 780th Military Intelligence Brigade and 781st Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort George G Meade, MD; United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, TX; Office Chief of Cyber, United States Army Cyber School, Fort Eisenhower, GA; Electronic Warfare Proponent Office, Fort Leavenworth, KS; 25th Infantry Div Fires and G3, Schofield Barracks, HI; 59th Chemical Company, 10th Mountain Div CBRN, and 1st BSTB, 10th Mountain Div, Fort Drum, NY; 82nd Chemical Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; 1st Battalion 22nd Infantry Regiment, Fort Cavazos, TX; 122nd Signal Battalion, Camp Red Cloud and 4th Chemical Company, Camp Casey, Republic of South Korea; 101st Chemical Company, 83rd Chemical BN, Fort Liberty, NC. CSM Potter has also deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2006 and 2010 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007.
CSM Potter’s military education includes the Primary Leadership, Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Courses, and Sergeants Major Academy (Class 66); Air Assault Course; Drill Sergeant Course; NBC Reconnaissance Course; Basic Airborne School; Army Recruiter Course; and numerous Joint Targeting, Information Operations, Electronic Warfare, and Cyber Operations Courses. He has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity.

CSM Potter is married to the former Amy L. Harrison, of Trussville, Alabama. He has two daughters Alexa and Alana and a son Jordan.
