Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)

(U//FOUO) On behalf of the ITE Senior Leadership Team and to echo the congratulatory notice from DDI leadership, Brian and I are excited to announce ITE's own Dale Chidester as the new Deputy Chief Information Officer (D/CIO) for Cybersecurity and Operations.

(S//NF) Mr. Chidester assumes the role of D/CIO from his current position as the Deputy Director of ITE's Technical Services Office (TSO). In this role, he enabled the provision of critical, reliable, and secure enterprise IT services for the Agency's global mission. During his time in TSO, Mr.
Chidester led the High Performance Compute Study in addition to the Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCC) program, championing his team to deploy more than 40,000 UCC devices across the WMA.

(U//FOUO) Known for his passion for workforce development, team building, and dedication to mission, Mr. Chidester possesses a strong focus in telecommunications. He spent almost a decade at the beginning of his career in the U.S. Army, providing telecommunications support across numerous assignments-including a five-year tour at the NATO Headquarters in Belgium. Upon departing from the Army, Mr. Chidester operated the Secure Video Teleconference System for the White House and supported the Domestic Voice Operations for the Department of State. He joined the Agency as a contractor before converting to staff in 2007 as a Network Engineer-eventually taking on the role of Division Chief and Technical Director.

(S//NF) In 2011, Mr. Chidester completed his staff assignment as the Senior Executive Assistant for the CIO. After serving a three-year broadening assignment tour as the Principle Deputy Director of the Technical Operations Group at the National Reconnaissance Office, he returned to the Agency and held leadership positions in both the DO and the DS&T.
