Dana M. Linnet is President and CEO of The Summit Group DC, an independent advisory firm established in 2020 that serves Industry and U.S. Institutional Investors on growth strategies, global trade, and problem solving for companies operating in Defense, Aerospace, Energy, and Emerging Technologies. Dana was twice named to the “Top 100 in Aerospace and Aviation” list.
Dana contributes to U.S. Government and Allied defense technology cooperation and is a current class mentor/advisor for the U.S. Army’s FedTech Accelerator program. She serves as a Senior Advisor for multiple firms including The Roosevelt Group and is on the Boards of Trustees and Governors at DACOR and The DACOR Bacon House Foundation, Board Directors for The Washington Tattoo, and Advisory Council member at the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy Dana served as a senior career diplomat at the U.S. Department of State, working in Europe, the Middle East, the IndoPacific, and in Washington DC, often working on military matters, and representing the Department at senior White House meetings on policy, intelligence, and special operations. She left government in 2015 for Lockheed Martin as an executive who advanced and helped to close international programs worth
over $80BN. She later served as Senior Advisor and Sales Director for Guidehouse LLP, and then Global Public Sector VP/GM at a Silicon Valley AI tech startup, where in 2021 she led her team over “the valley of death” and helped close its Series C round.
She is currently invested in - and advising – Artificial Brain USA, a surging Quantum software startup. Ms. Linnet holds MA and BA degrees in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen and University of California. She has been a guest lecturer at American University, Army War College, as well as a Class Mentor (3x) for the Global Policy, Diplomacy and Sustainability (GPODS) Fellowship. She has appeared on Bloomberg and Danish TV and conducted regular Space Foundation webinars on doing business in in UAE, India, and Australia. Dana is an active member of dozens professional organizations and is a founding member of Chief DC. She has received multiple awards and honors for her service and operational results from the U.S. Department of State, the Estonian Government, and Lockheed Martin.
