Dr. Bryan Tipton

Dr. Tipton is the Chief of Architecture and Engineering at the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Integrating Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Command, Control, Communications and Battle Management (C3BM), Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, Massachusetts.
In this role, Dr. Tipton is responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of the DAF BATTLE NETWORK that provides the resilient decision advantage necessary for USAF, USSF, Joint, and Coalition forces to defeat the pacing challenge. Dr. Tipton leads the C3BM Architecture System Engineering (ASE) Division responsible for the design and integration of the DAF BATTLE NETWORK by developing and managing the operationally driven system of systems architecture. Dr. Tipton is also responsible for overseeing the engineering for the acquisition of the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) within PEO C3BM.
Prior to joining DAF PEO C3BM, Dr. Tipton served as the Chief Architect of the Department of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (DAF RCO) from 2017-2022. As the Chief Architect he served as the technical lead of the Advanced Battle Management System. Before joining the DAF RCO, Dr Tipton worked for 15 years at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, in the areas of systems analysis, algorithm development, missile defense, ISR, and Air Force tactical systems. Dr. Tipton has a doctorate in physics from MIT.
