Jennifer Kron

Ms. Jennifer Kron was selected by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to serve as the Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Intelligence Community (IC) in November 2015.
A ten-year cadre officer in the ODNI, Ms. Kron joined IC CIO after having served as Director of the Mission Integration Division within the Deputy DNI for Intelligence Integration component. She was previously the National Intelligence Manager (NIM) for South Asia from 2012 to 2014. As NIM, she was responsible for integrating the IC on analytic and collection issues pertaining to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India and serving as the senior advisor to the DNI on South Asia issues. Ms. Kron had earlier served as Deputy NIM for South Asia and as Director of Community Affairs for the office.
Before joining the NIM South Asia office, Ms. Kron was a Group Chief for the IC Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and for System and Resource Analyses (SRA), leading teams of program and budget analysts conducting studies and analysis of cross-agency intelligence issues to shape major resource decisions.
Ms. Kron’s previous experience includes eight years as a program examiner in the White House Office of Management and Budget. She began her career in the Federal government as a Presidential Management Intern in the Department of Education and completed a fellowship with the Senate Labor Committee.
Ms. Kron graduated Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude from Princeton University and holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government.
Ms. Kron was promoted to the Senior National Intelligence Service in March 2007.
