Jennifer W. Pedersen serves as a Senior Technical Advisor to the National Risk Management Center (NRMC) in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Ms. Pedersen’s responsibilities primarily include strategic risk analysis and prioritization of critical infrastructure. She has worked across the 16 sectors of critical infrastructure with particular experience in chemical, energy, transportation and critical manufacturing infrastructure. Trained as a civil and environmental engineer, Ms. Pedersen has been supporting the critical infrastructure protection missions of DHS for over a decade. Prior to serving the Department, Ms. Pedersen had a career in the identification, analysis and management of risks for private sector owners and operators of critical infrastructure, particularly those with risks related to hazardous chemicals.
