John Kearney
Deputy for Cyber Operations and Analysis in the Cyber Mission Center

Mr. Kearney is the Deputy for Cyber Operations and Analysis in the Cyber Mission Center (CMC) of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Counterintelligence & Insider Threat Directorate. In this capacity, Mr. Kearney exercises leadership by managing, directing, and coordinating day-to-day operations of the CMC. He also oversees CMC's Cyber Liaison Officers (LNOs). These LNOs are located at the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF), Fort Meade, Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3), and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Additionally, he serves as the senior NCIJTF LNO and is responsible for coordinating, integrating and sharing information with both NCIJTF, its partners, and DCSA.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Kearney served as the Deputy Chief of the Law Enforcement Counterintelligence Center at Joint Task Force – Global Network Operations (JTF-GNO, which became part of USCYBERCOM) from January 2009 to April 2010 before coming to DCSA. Before his government service, Mr. Kearney worked for two Cleared Contractors from 2001 - 2009. Mr. Kearney has been involved with Cyber Operations in different capacities since 2007. Mr. Kearney has had various cyber training and certifications, most recently re-certified by SANS/GIAC in the GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC), which is DoD 8140/8570 compliant/IAM Level III). He is a Badged and Credentialed Counterintelligence Special Agent. Mr. Kearney is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute.
