Professional Overview
Joseph P. (“Joe”) Nicholas is Vice President and Manager of the Cyber Intelligence & Operations Sector of Parsons Government Services (PGS). PGS, a primary global business unit of Parsons Corporation, delivers, protects, and sustains critical federal assets across the defense, security, intelligence, environmental, and infrastructure markets worldwide. Joe leads the growth and development of a $150 million intelligence-community-based business sector. He manages a distributed team of 500 professionals who provide uniquely engineered and integrated intelligence and cyber solutions to the intelligence community
Joe brings to this position more than 25 years of experience in the national security and intelligence arenas. Most recently, he held several key positions at a leading aerospace and defense technology firm, including Director of the SIGINT Systems Operating Unit. In this role, he led the successful launch of a $170 million defense and intelligence organization providing support to the U.S. government and Special Operations Command intelligence community.
Joe served on active duty as an officer with the U.S. Air Force from 1981 to 1988. He retired from the Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Joe holds an MA in business administration from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA; an MS in geophysical services from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA; and a BA in physics from University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA.
