Karen Brazell

Karen Brazell serves as the Vice President for the Department of Veterans Affairs Account at the Science Applications Technology Corporation (SAIC). She continues to serve Veterans, their families, caregivers and survivors, supporting cybersecurity operations, managing enhancements and development-security operations for the Department’s financial management system, the electronic data exchange transactions application suite, the program integrity tool, consolidate corporate support services, and the budget tracking tool. Ms. Brazell is also a board member of the National Veteran Small Business Coalition.
Ms. Brazell retired from the federal government after 20 years of honorable service in January 2021. Prior to her retirement from federal government service, she served as the Acting Assistant Secretary for the Office of Enterprise Integration and the Chief Acquisition Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs, and before her service at the VA, she spent 16 years at the White House Military Office as a US Navy Program Manager.
Ms. Brazell is a U.S. Army Veteran who served on active duty from 1984 to 1988.
Ms. Brazell is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Strategic Leadership with Liberty University and began her dissertation journey this summer, with a research focus of streamlining the federal government acquisition methodologies using emergent technologies.
