Keith Salisbury is responsible for US Federal Sales at Pivotal. More than ever before software defines how we experience and engage the world. Pivotal gives customers the agility to create new software faster than ever, and a platform to run it at scale, on any cloud.
We bring a sophisticated approach to User-Centered Design, we apply Lean Startup to software development, and we practice a highly disciplined approach of agile development called Extreme Programming (XP), all of which is underpinned by the right platform strategy, Pivotal Cloud Foundry®. Pivotal is pioneering a vision for how enterprises build and run modern applications in the cloud. Whether on-premise or off-premise or with any cloud provider, Pivotal Cloud Foundry® enables "cloud" to be about "how" you do things, not "where" you do things.
Before leading US Federal Sales at Pivotal, Keith spent thirteen years at EMC and was responsible for EMC’s business within the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. That business was globally based supporting the national security apparatus in all theaters around the world. Prior to that role, Keith was responsible for EMC's Office of Government Relations, leading a team who represented EMC on Capitol Hill, working directly with Congressional oversight and appropriations committees.
Keith spent ten years as a Navy SEAL at the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, SEAL Team EIGHT, and SEAL Team TWO. His military background provides a unique perspective that facilitates positioning Pivotal in a mission-oriented way to customers across all aspects of government.
Keith is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He and his wife Melissa have four children; with both sons currently serving in the United States military.
