Matthew Ross

Executive Director of Global Integration

Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)

Mr. Matthew (Mat) Ross was appointed to Defense Intelligence Senior Level and assumed the role of Executive Director to the Deputy Director for Global Integration (DDGI) in December 2022. In this role, Mr. Ross is a key member of the DDGI leadership and management team, focusing on the management of personnel requirements, business and staff functions, and coordination of programmatic actions.

Bom and raised in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Mr. Ross is a 1992 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor's of Science
degree in Aerospace Engineering. He also is a 2005 graduate of the Naval War College. Mr. Ross retired from active duty in 2018.

Mr. Ross's operational tours include ship's assistant intelligence officer aboard USS ESSEX (LHD-2); staff intelligence officer for Naval Special Warfare Unit TWO; assistant chief of staff of intelligence for Carrier Strike Group TWELVE embarked on USS ENTERPRISE; and director for intelligence at Naval Special Warfare Development Group.

Shore assignments consisted of various duties at Joint Intelligence Center Pacific, Hawaii; staff action officer. Deputy Director for Intelligence/National Military Command Center; targeting policy and J2 Executive Assistant on the Joint Staff; Maritime Watch Officer at Joint Analysis Center Molesworth, United Kingdom; Chief of Analysis and Production at U.S. Africa Command in Stuttgart, Germany; Deputy Director of Intelligence at NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, Colorado; and Maritime Special Programs Liaison at State Department, Washington, DC.

Following his military retirement, Mr. Ross was a lead associate at Booz Allen Hamilton for almost a year before being hired on as a DIA government civilian at NORAD and U.S. Northern Command.

Mr. Ross's decorations include several personal and unit awards for service in operational tours, shore assignments and deployments. He is a qualified Surface Warfare Officer, Information Warfare Officer and Basic Parachutist.

He married the former Sue Ann Bartkowiak of Shaumburg, Illinois in 1996. Mr. and Mrs. Ross have twins, Mia and Oliver, born in 2000.
