Michael W. Donaldson, Sector Director in FEDSIM has 25 years of experience in management and oversight, particularly within the federal government procurement and acquisition arenas.
Mr. Donaldson held a variety of positions in the Federal and Commercial Information Technology Industry before joining GSA FEDSIM in 2002 as a Sr. Project Manager. He later spent several years in industry with NCI Information Systems, where he was a Vice President who served in several roles, including managing the PMO for the GSA Alliant Contract, and the Corporate Quality and High Performance Quality Management Office.
He returned to the General Services Administration's (GSA) Federal Systems Integration Management Center (FEDSIM) in 2013. In his current position as Sector Director, he manages a team of Group Managers, Program Managers; and Contracting Officers, each of whom manage a portfolio of projects servicing many of DOD’s Professional Services Requirements, as well as GSA’s largest Information Technology requirements.
FEDSIM’s Enterprise Sector is actively growing, by pursuing and managing FEDSIMs portfolio of OASIS and OASIS SB orders. This is a strategic area of investment for FEDSIM, as it presents an opportunity to penetrate new Government markets. As of April 2015, FEDSIM has made 4 awards, has 3 additional solicitations under development, and has several verbal commitments for additional requirements.
Michael Donaldson is a Project Management Professional (PMP) as certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI), a Certified Project/Program Manager Level 3 (FAC P/PM III) as certified by the Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) and he also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology and Management from the University of Maryland.
