(U) Michaela Mesquite currently serves as the Augmenting Intelligence using Machines (AIM) Acting Group Chief, which has the responsibility to foster the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) throughout the Intelligence Community (IC) through investment coordination, expert collaboration, and policy development. Michaela joined the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Office of Science & Technology as a rotational assignment in 2022 as the UNITY program manager, with a primary focus on transforming the IC’s analytic and knowledge management tradecraft while leveraging AI to derive insight from the fusion of the IC’s comprehensive information holdings.
(U) Michaela holds a master’s degree in International Relations with a focus in International Law from Boston College, a graduate certificate in Geospatial Intelligence from Pennsylvania State University, and two distinct bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Washington. Having been born in Silicon Valley, grown up in Washington State, she now lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and two children.
