Orin Hoffman

Before joining DIUx as a civilian HQE, Orin served as the Chief Technologist at Endeavor Robotics and previously at iRobot Corporation. During that time, Orin lead the development and urgent fielding of multiple tactical robotic systems, deploying on several occasions as an embedded technologist to both OIF and OEF. He has significant commercial product development experience and has worked within the DoD to accelerate development and acquisition. Prior to joining iRobot, Orin was a senior lecturer in Robotics at Mount Holyoke College. Orin holds several patents as well as industry awards including NDIA’s Robotics Innovator of the Year award in 2017. Orin holds a BA from Amherst College and an MS in Electrical Computer Engineering from UMass.
