RDML (ret) Ryan “Doc” Scholl is, and always has been a team-oriented, results-driven leader achieving great success creating high-performing groups across varied areas. His expertise has broadened in his 35+ years of Navy service from aviation operations to becoming a senior CWMD/nuclear/space/maritime/intelligence/information operations executive experienced at the highest levels of government within complex and diverse organizations.
Doc is President of an Executive Leadership consulting group with clients in manufacturing, petro-chemicals, and “new nuclear” industry teaching and coaching skills for his clients’ success. He also serves on the Board of Directors for FUSGS LLC, Board of Advisors for Forge Nano LLC, and is a Senior Advisor to Silicis Technology Inc.
Highlight’s of Doc’s Flag career include nomination and selection as the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Deputy Director. Prior to that, he commanded Carrier Strike Group EIGHT (CSG-8) consisting of 7500 personnel, 10 warships including an aircraft carrier flagship, and 77 aircraft. Hand-picked for his first Flag assignment at US Strategic Command, he led the Plans directorate in the Commander’s initiative to “operationalize” strategic deterrence. Ryan’s most impactful tour was as the Captain of the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75).
His greatest flying honor was representing the US Navy as the Narrator (#7) and Solo Pilot (#6 and #5) for the Blue Angels from 1995 to 1997. He still talks publicly about the commitment, dedication and trust that is required to execute at that performance level.
Ryan is a 1987 graduate and a 2017 Gilbert Fellow of Princeton University, where he studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and played varsity football. His signature since Princeton has been creating resilient and enduring victorious teams directed by a strong sense of ownership and ethical behavior.
