Sam is a program manager for the Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO). He is focused on technologies dealing with machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomy, and cloud computing in a secure environment. His efforts are focused on developing innovative methodologies for conducting smarter sustainment of DoD platforms and injecting emerging commercial capabilities, such as cloud computing and advanced data analytics, into the Department.
Maj Gray was commissioned in 2005, serving as a logistician in the Fleet Marine Force. He has served at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels to include four operational deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and in support of a Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force.
Sam holds a Masters of Science in Operations Research, with a focus on Data Science, from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
