Ms. Shannon Pallone is the Deputy Program Executive Officer, reporting to the Space Force Program Executive Officer (SFPEO), Battle Management Command, Control and Communications, United States Space Force, Space Systems Command, Los Angeles AFB, California. She guides a $3.29B (FY21-27) portfolio of over 13 programs and 31 sub-applications/projects encompassing a wide-range of mission areas, including enterprise ground services, information mobility, command and control, space control, cross mission data, and data transport. She assists the PEO in approving program strategies, delivering programs to meet warfighter needs, and engaging with the Air Staff, Service Acquisition Executive, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and other Departments and Agencies.
Ms. Pallone began her career with the Space and Missile Systems Center as a Presidential Management Fellow, and has held a variety of roles in the past decade, to include rotations on staff – as Chief of Acquisition Operations for the Spacelift Range and Satellite Control Network Division, as the Executive Officer to the Space and Missile Systems Center Executive Director, and as the Deputy Program Manager for GPS III Follow-on Production – before joining the MILSATCOM Directorate in November 2015. Ms. Pallone graduated from Duke University in 1999 with Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and received her Master’s Degree in Pacific International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego, in 2009. Prior to joining the civil service, she worked as a television and film development executive, for various non-profit organizations, and as a staff geologist for an environmental consulting firm.
