Shaun Bierweiler is Vice President and General Manager of Public Sector at Cloudera. Bierweiler joined Cloudera by way of the company’s merger with Hortonworks in January 2019 and leads the organization that is responsible for the U.S federal government worldwide and U.S. state, local, and education clients.

Bierweiler has more than 15 years of experience providing Information Technology solutions, systems, and support to the Public Sector. Prior to joining Cloudera, Bierweiler was Vice President of U.S. Public Sector at Hortonworks and President of Hortonworks Federal, Inc. Before that, Bierweiler worked at Red Hat as Director of Sales where he concurrently led the teams responsible for its Department of Defense and Federal Systems Integrator verticals. He also worked at Raytheon where held cross-functional leadership positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of Engineering, Program Management, Business Development, and Capture Strategy.

Bierweiler earned his M.B.A. from the University of Maryland and B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.
