SA Sarah Masiello is the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) Liaison Officer to the Secretary of the Air Force, Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (SAF/AQ), Pentagon, D.C. She is responsible for safeguarding procurement integrity, technology and program protection, industrial base, and supply chain risk management efforts and lines of communication between those two agencies.

SA Masiello graduated from high school in Pordenone, Italy, then attended Jacobs University Bremen, Germany, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Social and Cognitive Psychology. SA Masiello moved to New York, N.Y., soon after, to pursue her Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College. During her graduate studies, SA Masiello completed an internship at the United States National Central Bureau, INTERPOL, in Washington, D.C.; she also worked on a joint research project with the Federal Bureau of Investigations Behavioral Sciences Unit.

SA Masiello entered the Air Force Civilian Service as a Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) intern at AFOSI Detachment 426, New York, N.Y., in September 2009. Upon graduating from her Master’s program, SA Masiello completed the Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP) and the AFOSI Basic Special Investigators Course (BSIC) at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Ga.: she was one of four BSIC Distinguished Graduates for her class. Upon completing the program, SA Masiello reported to AFOSI Detachment 307, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., where she worked in the Central-Systems Fraud program as a PALACE Acquire (PAQ) intern. SA Masiello outplaced from the PAQ program to the Office of Procurement Fraud (PF) Detachment 1, Operating Location C, in San Diego, Calif.; she later became the Resident Agent in Charge. After that, SA Masiello did a further assignment as a PF agent at OSI PF Detachment 6, Joint Base Andrews, Md.. Prior to her current position, SA Masiello was responsible for all civilian agent recruiting efforts for AFOSI as the Series 1811 Recruiter for the Command.
