Sujit Mohanty is the Technical General Manager and Vice President of Field Engineering for Public Sector at Databricks. He has a passion for technology, having spent over 20 years in the space focused on IT ops, cloud-native app dev, data analytics, and security.
Prior to Databricks, Sujit was the Senior Director for Global Industry Solutions Architecture at Chainalysis. Prior he was the Senior Director for Microsoft Federal's go-to-market specialists for cloud-native platforms. Additionally, he was the Chief Technology Officer for Defense and Chief of Staff of Microsoft's National Security Group, where he was influential in driving some of their largest programmatic government contracts in the Federal and National Security spaces. Prior roles include Sujit was the Federal CTO, and Director of Federal Pre-sales for Pivotal Software.
He has worked with numerous agencies transforming how they build software and work with data across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Civilian markets. He helped drive the go-to-market federal technical strategy for Pivotal’s Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes; products and has authored several books and white papers on cloud-native technologies and security. Before Pivotal, Sujit was the HP Helion's Federal CTO and technical lead for HP’s go-to-market cloud strategy with OpenStack and Cloud Foundry. Prior to that, he was the Federal CTO for HP Software, and served in other key technical leadership positions while at BMC Software and IBM.
He is based in the Ashburn, VA area with his wife Linda and three children. He has a passion for fishing and cars / motorsports.
