Tadgh Smith, Deputy Assistant Director for the Law Enforcement Systems and Analysis (LESA) division within Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), is responsible for the development of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) strategies, methods, and tools to continuously enhance ERO’s operational efficiency and mission effectiveness. One of his significant accomplishments is a cross-government modernization effort that operationalized federal biometric information sharing technology impacting national security, law enforcement, and public safety nationwide.
Prior to LESA, Mr. Smith worked in ICE’s Office of the Chief information Officer and the Office of the Assistant Secretary. Before joining ICE in 2007, Mr. Smith began his federal career with the United States Mint. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin and has over 30 years of delivering digital transformation spanning government, private industry, and academia.
