Vincent P. DiFronzo is the Senior Vice President for Science Application International Corporation’s (SAIC) Air Force, Combatant Command and DoD Agency Business Unit. Mr. DiFronzo provides leadership for 2,122 SAIC employees and 145 programs spanning information technology, policy support, R&D, engineering, systems development and aircraft sustainment. He has 13 years of experience with industry in various program management and leadership roles, and 27 years of Active Duty Air Force service, retiring as a Colonel in 2007.
Mr. DiFronzo commanded the 505th Command and Control Wing, the 23rd Fighter Group (A-10s) and the 58th Fighter Squadron (F-15Cs). Additionally, he was the 19th Air Force Vice Commander, Vice Wing Commander for the 455th Expeditionary Wing at Bagram AB, Afghanistan, and served as the AFCENT Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) Combat Operations Director during the first year of Operation Enduring Freedom following the 9/11 attacks. Mr. DiFronzo also served two Pentagon tours, first as an Air Staff requirements action officer and as the Executive Officer for the Deputy Chief of Staff, Headquarters Air Force A3/5.
DiFronzo has 3,600 flying hours including 198 hours of combat time in the F-15C and A-10. He is a United States Air Force Academy Graduate, National War College Graduate, and holds an MBA from Golden Gate University. Additionally he has a Masters Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University. He is married to the former Sherrie Jo Godkin of Ft Collins, CO and has one son and two dogs.
