SSA Taps Coalfire for Cybersecurity, Risk Management Support Services

Coalfire has landed a $2M task order to provide cybersecurity and risk management support services to the Social Security Administration. The five-year task, funded by the SSA Office of Acquisition and Grants, calls for the provision of advanced malware and analytics.

Coalfire was the lone bidder for the task, which was awarded on the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Support Services blank purchase agreement, G2Xchange reported Thursday.

According to the company website, Coalfire has been helping organizations across the private and public sectors to avert threats, close gaps and effectively manage risk since its inception in 2001. Specifically, Coalfire contributes to building scalable programs for organizations to improve their security posture and drive business growth.

A certified third-party assessment organization by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, the company offers cyber program management and operations, cyber automation, engineering, and orchestration, as well as security compliance and advisory.

Coalfire has provided decades-long support to federal agencies,  including the departments of Homeland Security, Agriculture, Justice, Veterans Affairs, Labor and Health and Human Services.
