Stephen Iwicki Named Executive VP, General Manager at QinetiQ US
Defense solutions provider QinetiQ US has appointed Stephen Iwicki as executive vice president and general manager of its C5ISR business. Iwicki possesses almost 20 years of industry experience. He also spent two decades as a U.S. Army intelligence officer.
Iwicki will support the delivery of advanced robotics and sensor solutions to government and commercial customers in the U.S. and abroad.
The industry veteran managed business units that deliver up to hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. He held leadership positions at Leidos, General Dynamics Information Technology, SOS International and Octo, QinetiQ said Wednesday.
Shawn Purvis, president and CEO of QinetiQ US and a Potomac Officers Club member, said Iwicki’s experience in both the military and industry sectors will help the company establish itself as a technology leader. Purvis, who is also a 2022 Wash100 winner, added that the executive VP will help QinetiQ expand in the areas of cyber and IT modernization.
During his time in the Army, Iwicki led various intelligence-related leadership roles at different units and organizations. These include the Army G2 office, the 302nd Military Intelligence Battalion, the Army V Corps Intelligence Center and the Joint Intelligence Center JTF-180.
QinetiQ offers robotics and autonomy, sensors, survivability solutions and other support products and services for defense applications. Its U.S. headquarters is in Lorton, Virginia.
