AWS Marketplace to Offer Databricks Software to US Intelligence Community
Amazon Web Services’ Marketplace for the U.S. Intelligence Community will list the Databricks platform, enabling its users to unify all their data, analytics and artificial intelligence on one platform, Databricks announced on Monday.
According to Aaron Kinworthy, Databricks’ vice president of federal sales and a 4×24 member, the platform integrates elements enabling its users to work on structured and unstructured data to deliver mission-critical objectives.
AI and advanced analytics’ growth excites Databricks to work with AWS in offering a turnkey data and AI platform to intelligence organizations, Kinworthy said.
Seventeen intelligence agencies exclusively use the AWS Marketplace for the U.S. IC, wherein the AWS IoT 1-Click feature allows software and apps’ evaluation, procurement and deployment “within minutes,” Databricks said.
The San Francisco-based company is also offering its Databricks Lakehouse platform to federal agencies for their data analytics and warehousing capabilities.
According to the company’s website, the Lakehouse Platform’s users include the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force and the Department of Homeland Security.
Databricks launched the platform, which enables users to develop generative AI applications, at the Data + AI Summit held on June 28 and 29 in San Francisco.
