USAF Awards $244M Minotaur Software Contract to HII Mission Technologies

HII’s Mission Technologies division has received a $244 million task order from the U.S. Air Force’s 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron to add Minotaur software solutions to the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard’s maritime platforms.

According to HII, research, development, test and evaluation are included in the software integration contract for the three military services’ radars and sensors, as well as command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems. The contract was awarded through the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center’s multiple-award contract system, HII said

The DOD awarded the Minotaur development program to industry suppliers in 2020, with HII as the lone primary contractor. The contract covers five years, with work done at contractor facilities in various U.S. sites.

The program functions as a centralized system for data transmission via sensors and technologies for command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

Andy Green, HII executive vice president and Mission Technologies president, said the company has been engaged in the Minotaur program for nearly 10 years.

A 4×24 member and Wash100 Award recipient, Green added that it is HII’s privilege to continue the engagement and deliver its advantages to the three Armed Forces branches.
