Tony Frazier Takes Helm at Space Monitoring Company LeoLabs
Space situational awareness company LeoLabs has announced that former Maxar Technologies executive Tony Frazier will serve as its new CEO.
Frazier, a past Potomac Officers Club event speaker and Wash100 winner, will lead ongoing efforts to grow a presence in next-generation space safety systems and combined military space operations, LeoLabs said.
He said in a press release that he will build on the company’s market momentum and scale its growth. LeoLabs is poised to become a key partner to space operators by having “the right capabilities at the right time,” Frazier added.
Frazier explained that he found LeoLabs when he was looking for an innovative company in national security, noting that the company led in detecting an object released by a Russian satellite and, earlier, maintained persistent tracking of a Chinese spaceplane for 200 days.
Frazier is replacing Dan Ceperley, who is moving on to become LeoLabs’ chief operating officer to lead engineering and mission operations.
