Two Palantir Solutions Earn Awardable Status in Pentagon CDAO’s Tradewinds Marketplace

Palantir’s AI Mission Command Capability and Predictive Maintenance and its Precision Sustainment Suite have been granted “awardable” status under the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace of the Department of Defense Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office.

According to Palantir, the two capabilities both support DOD initiatives to harness artificial intelligence on strategies such as the Joint All-Domain Command and Control. Designed for dual use, the solutions can support a wide range of customers seeking to leverage data and AI in critical operations, Palantir said Wednesday.

The capabilities and the AI Platform supporting them are already used in the public and private sectors, the company added.

The users of Palantir’s software tools for enhanced decision-making include the U.S. Special Operations Command, which awarded the company a $463 million multiyear contract in June 2023.

According to Palantir, its solutions earned their Tradewinds listing in a range of competitive platforms seeking to demonstrate innovation, scalability and impact on DOD operations.

Akash Jain, president of Palantir’s U.S. government business and a past Wash100 winner, expressed excitement about the company’s products becoming available via Tradewinds, saying it opens the pathway for delivering capabilities faster than traditional procurement means.

Ben McMartin, CDAO’s Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace manager, said the rising participation of established companies such as Palantir in the contracting pathway demonstrates its value in the procurement and sale of cutting-edge technologies.

Palantir is also expanding access to its solutions to businesses and governments worldwide via a partnership agreement with Oracle.
