USASAC Awards Contract to Koniag Management Solutions for IT Modernization Support

The U.S. Army Security Assistance Command in Huntsville, Alabama, has awarded a single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for information technology modernization support to Koniag Management Solutions, a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services.

KGS CEO Kevin Wideman, a 4×24 member, said his company is looking forward to contributing to such efforts.

USASAC seeks assistance with operationalizing its IT modernization plan while also complying with requirements set by the service and the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, KGS said.

KMS is an Alaska Native Corporation and small disadvantaged business that aids civilian and defense agencies with data collection, management and analytics to enhance decision-making and predict outcomes. It also provides planning and implementation support for automation and artificial intelligence, among others.

Parent company KGS offers technical solutions, professional services and operations management support spanning areas such as cybersecurity, strategic consulting, integrated logistics and occupational health. It recently named Department of Defense veteran Ray Coleman to serve as chief information officer.

According to Wideman, Coleman’s expertise could assist in delivering innovative solutions.
