V2X to Advance CBRN Threat Detection Solution Under Contracts Worth $75M

V2X announced that it has secured new and follow-on contracts amounting to $75 million to develop a next-generation threat detection and response solution to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.

Corinne Minton-Package, senior vice president of operational technology and engineering at V2X and a 4×24 member, said that the contracts show V2X’s operational expertise in providing critical solutions.

Under the first part of the funding, the smart solutions manufacturer will act as the lead systems integrator under the CBRN Support to Command and Control program, integrating CBRN and force protection sensors to enable early attack warning and improve operational readiness, V2X said.

The company will also lead a $25 million project that would modernize and re-architect the CBRN threat warning and notification system and predictive hazard propagation equipment.

The new work comes after V2X secured a task order under the Global Contingency Services Multiple Award Contract III in April to provide a wide range of support services during humanitarian crises, natural calamities and other scenarios.
