VMD-NETS Joint Venture Wins US Air Force Task Order on Intel, Cyber Services

Cybersecurity firm VMD announced that 1 Mission Partners, its joint venture with Nelson Enterprise Technology Services, has secured a $23 million contract to supply intel, cyber and electromagnetic spectrum superiority services to the U.S. Air Force headquarters. 1MP’s direct client at the Air Force HQ for the five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is the deputy chief of staff for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and cyber effects operations.

According to VMD, which merged recently with Xcelerate Solutions, the contract calls for the delivery of innovations and strategies to support the Air Force’s global missions, including air, space and cyber domains. Mark Drever, Xcelerate CEO and a 4×24 member, said the new contract highlights the combined firms’ “long history” of supporting U.S. national security, VMD said Monday.

In August 2020, a VMD partnership with Booz Allen Hamilton secured a spot on a potential 10-year, $950 million IDIQ contract to provide technical and assessment support to the Air Force’s Concepts, Development and Management Office Analytical and Technical Services. Xcelerate’s recent military contracts include the modernization and redesign of the Defense Logistics Agency’s Joint Contingency and Expeditionary Services tools under a three-year task order awarded in September 2022.
