POC – 2021 Air Force Acquisition Forum

The Potomac Officers Club will host its 2021 Air Force Acquisition Forum on July 8th to gather the most influential federal and commercial leaders together and discuss the critical technological and material needs of the U.S. Air Force. 

Darlene Costello, the Air Force’s Acting Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics will share her insights into the Department of the Air Force’s transformation to “digital acquisition” which includes embracing digital engineering, agile software development, how open systems architectures will greatly reduce acquisition schedules, increase access to innovative and emerging technology, reduce vendor lock, and allow the Department to field warfighting systems at the speed of relevance. She’ll also discuss the imperative behind the changes, some of the early returns on investment and predicted future returns, how the Department’s digital vision is evolving, and how industry can help on the journey.
