Infleqtion Appoints Retired Army General as Adviser
Paul Funk II, a retired four-star U.S. Army general, has taken on an advisory role at quantum information company Infleqtion.
Funk joined Infleqtion’s team of advisers, which includes retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Cameron Holt and former Army Applications Lab Executive Director Jay Wisham. Both Holt and Wisham are past Potomac Officers Club speakers.
Funk brings to the company over three decades of experience in talent management, risk management and mitigation, and strategic planning and execution, according to his LinkedIn profile.
He was previously the commanding officer of the Army Training and Doctrine Command and the commanding general of III Corps and the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, Infleqtion said.
As an adviser, Funk will support business expansion efforts in Texas, strengthen strategic partnerships and help identify significant growth and collaboration opportunities. Infleqtion expects Funk to provide valuable insights that would help enable real-world applications of innovative technologies.
Infleqtion CEO Scott Faris expressed confidence that Funk would provide a significant contribution to the company’s efforts to develop cutting-edge innovations that meet the needs of the military in the current and future landscapes of warfare. Faris said technology integration into military operations is necessary to ensure the modernization and effectiveness of national security efforts.
