Mark Serway: Who is he?

Mark Serway is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hitachi Vantara Federal. He took on these positions in 2022 to lead the company’s development, delivery, and support of critical data solutions. His leadership empowers Hitachi Vantara Federal to provide trusted capabilities that accelerate the government’s digital innovation goals and defense and security missions.

Mr. Serway also maximizes his standing to devise and implement strategies that help Hitachi Vantara’s vision become a reality. He has been instrumental in driving the organization’s operational excellence and overall financial performance.

Through Mark Serway’s leadership, Hitachi Vantara Federal made executive hires that further empowered its status as a government contractor. Some of these leaders include Phil Fuster, Chief Revenue Officer; Joe Corcoran, Senior Director of Delivery and Professional Services; and Ryan Hinkle, Director of Federal Sales.

Hitachi Vantara Federal initially welcomed Mark Serway as the Chief Financial Officer in 2017. In this role, he drove operational and profit improvements, oversaw business transformation initiatives, and led teams specializing in customer support, analysis, and financial operations.

Mark Serway completed a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from James Madison University and his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Averett University. He is also a member of AFCEA, Financial Executives International (FEI), and the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC).
