CSS Awarded Spot on $255M CDC Public Health Data Modernization Program
CRISP Shared Services, a Columbia, Maryland-based nonprofit, has been selected as one of the three contract awardees of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s $255 million National Implementation Center Program to modernize public health data systems.
The program, funded under the CDC’s Public Health Infrastructure Grant, will be implemented over the next three years, CSS said.
The PHIG is a five-year investment program supporting the CDC’s multi-year, multibillion-dollar Data Modernization Initiative launched in 2019.
The modernization implementation centers are geared to support more than 100 health departments across the United States. The CDC is collaborating on the project with the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, the National Network of Public Health Institutes and the Public Health Accreditation Board.
The two other spots for the modernization implementation centers were awarded to Guidehouse and Mathematica. A fourth modernization support center for tribal health agencies and organizations is open for proposals until July 28.
The tasks of the implementation centers include providing end-to-end technical support to health departments’ adoption and use of data exchange platforms, such as the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement
