US Army Cybersecurity Professionals Share Learnings at Cyber Summit 2023
Representatives of the U.S. Army Reserve Cyber Protection Brigade shared their capabilities during Cyber Summit 2023, which was held in Wiesbaden, Germany, from July 24 to 27. The USAR-CPB delegation contributed insights during the summit’s discussions and breakout sessions on tactical cyber topics, such as artificial intelligence hunting, intel-based threat hunting and effective incident response strategies.
The unit, which is under the U.S. Army Cyber Command, provides cyber protection teams on location or from home station to support Army, combatant command, Department of Defense and interagency operations worldwide.
Lt. Gen. Andrew Rohling, deputy commanding general of U.S. Army Europe and Africa, delivered an address at the event, saying collaborative efforts like the summit “collectively develop robust strategies” against cyberattacks.
According to USAEUR-AF Cybersecurity Director Holvin Galindo, the summit’s goal is to enhance cybersecurity readiness and cooperation among partner and allied nations, not only among the U.S. European Command or U.S. Africa Command.
More than 300 cyber professionals representing 18 countries participated in the event, DVIDS reported.
