CW5 Jeramy Cosner

Army Futures Command

Chief Warrant Officer 5 Jeramy Cosner is the Chief Technology Officer for the Network Cross-Functional Team, Army Futures Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

He enlisted in the Army in 1999 and attended basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He continued to Satellite Communications Operator/Maintainer (31S) Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Gordon, Georgia. His enlisted assignments include: Tactical Satellite Communications Operator/Maintainer, 229th Signal Company, Camp Carroll, Korea; Tactical Satellite Communications Assistant Team Chief, 112th Signal Battalion (A), Fort Bragg, NC; Message Center NCOIC/Senior RTO, 3/3 Special Forces Group (A), Fort Bragg, NC; and 25S (Satellite Communications) Instructor/Writer, Fort Gordon, GA. He received his appointment to Warrant Officer in May 2005 upon graduation from Warrant Officer Candidate School.

His previous assignments include: Network Management Technician, 86th Signal Battalion, Fort Huachuca, AZ; Circuit Engineering Officer/Forward Network Engineer, Joint Communications Unit, Fort Bragg, NC; Senior Network Management Technician, 112th Signal Battalion (A), Fort Bragg, NC; Level II Engineer, Training With Industry - IntelSat General, Ellenwood, GA; Enterprise Satellite Communications Gateway Officer In Charge, USASA-Camp Roberts, Camp Roberts, CA; and Network Officer, Joint Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, NC.

CW5 Cosner has deployed on numerous combat tours including Philippines, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar, Jordan, and various countries in Africa. CW5 Cosner’s schools include the Warrant Officer Basic, Advanced, Staff, and Senior Service Education courses; Survive, Evade, Resist, and Escape (SERE) (High-Risk); and Joint Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence/Cyber Staff and Operations Course (JC4ICSOC). He holds a Bachelor of Science, Information Technology – Security from Western Governors University and a Masters of Science in Network Technology from East Carolina University.

CW5 Cosner’s awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal w/ 2 OLC, Meritorious Service Medal w/ 2 OLC, Joint Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal w/ 5 OLC, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Army Achievement Medal w/ 4 OLC among others to include the Parachutist Badge and the Bronze Order of Mercury.
