Director, Cyberspace Strategy and Policy, Office of Information Dominance and Chief Information Officer
Brig. Gen. Kevin B. Kennedy is Director, Cyberspace Strategy and Policy, Office of Information Dominance and Chief Information Officer, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force. As the Cyberspace Operations and Support Career Field Functional Manager, General Kennedy is responsible for the development of 43,000 officers, enlisted and civilian personnel. He balances costs and risks for Air Force cyberspace programs in light of all legislative, Department of Defense and joint policies and directives. Additionally, he leads the Air Force in developing cyberspace strategies, policies, and enterprise architectures across business, enterprise information environment, weapon system, and defense intelligence mission areas. General Kennedy received his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1990. Following graduation, he served in a variety of flying positions including U.S. Air Force Weapons School Instructor, 28th Bomb Wing Chief of Safety, 34th Bomb Squadron Commander, 28th Operations Group Deputy Commander and 28th Bomb Wing Commander at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota. Additionally, he served as the Vice Commander for the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia. His staff experience includes service on the U.S. Air Force headquarters staff, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. General Kennedy is a command pilot with more than 3,400 flying hours in the B-1 and T-38, including combat over Afghanistan.
