Leigh Madden is the General Manager of Microsoft’s U.S. Department of Defense business unit, responsible for the sales of Microsoft products and cloud services to the DoD worldwide. He previously led the company’s U.S. Air Force business. Before joining Microsoft in 2012, he led teams delivering mission critical solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in support of national security objectives while working for EMC, VMware and Science Applications International Corporation Prior to leaving military service in 2000, Leigh served for fifteen years as a Navy SEAL officer. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Middlebury College and a Master of International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins University. He serves on the advisory board of Paws for Purple Hearts, providing services to veterans across the country. He is married and has two children.
