Chief Information Security Officer, ICE

Rob is the Chief Information Security Officer for United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). His responsibilities include overall information security of the ICE IT enterprise, including protecting systems, networks, user access and ensuring ICE systems meet federal security mandates. He leads the ICE Security Operations Center and oversees the tactical and strategic approach for managing system risks through the ICE continuous monitoring program. In addition, Rob works closely with mission partners in support of the use of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and secure communications. Prior to joining ICE, Rob worked in leadership positions at several companies including Knowledge Consulting Group, Hewlett Packard (HP), and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Notable is his time as the Director of the Federal Risk Management and Compliance Practice at HP where he supported and led a team of security and privacy consultants providing clients with information security risk and compliance assessments, privacy and security program management, security authorization services, security policy review and remediation, and security documentation and development. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University, a Master of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University as well as professional credentials in security management. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
