Vice President for National Security Space – Growth
Brig Gen Ron Huntley, United States Air Force (retired) is the Vice President for National Security Space – Growth at Peraton. In that capacity, he focuses his 33 years of experience in guiding and mentoring development teams to advance the evolution and execution of Peraton’s Depart of Defense and Intelligence space ecosystem strategic plan. He works across the Business Development and Delivery teams to align Peraton’s capabilities with customer objectives for a comprehensive approach to achieve space-based and multi-domain outcomes executed in a time-compressed operational environment. General Huntley enlisted in the Air Force in 1983 and served as a computer operator as a technical school Honor Graduate. He graduated from Florida State University in 1986 while on active duty and earned his commission through Officer Training School as a 1987 Distinguished Graduate. During his career, he has consistently demonstrated his extensive experience in leading highly select teams through strategic planning and organizational and human capital development to accomplish strategic goals that protect national security interests. He has commanded at the squadron, group and wing levels, and has completed staff assignments on the Pentagon Joint Staff (J5), U.S Cyber Command, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, and the National Reconnaissance Office. General Huntley has formulated National and International policy for cyberspace operations and harmonized cohesive and coordinated western allied efforts for ongoing actions in the Middle East. In the Intelligence Community, he commanded the 4th largest IT network, with units on three continents, to the first ever “outstanding” score on the rigorous cyber readiness inspection. Additionally, he led a nearly 4,000 personnel organization consisting of three intelligence agencies, four military services, and three foreign partners. His realignment of mission, dollars and authorities led to the effective removal of national threats. Finally, General Huntley supervised an operations and maintenance budget of $13.2 billion and a Future Years Defense Program of an estimated $75 billion for a Major Command of more than 40,000 people and 106 line items. His unit beat congressionally mandated metrics and achieved the best financial performance seen in 15 years. Since leaving the Air Force, General Huntley has served as a corporate Board Director, Strategic Planning Consultant and Executive Coach driving a small logistics company and the USA Judo Olympic Team to higher levels of success. Additionally, the General is proud to serve on the National Defense Industrial Association – Rocky Mountain Chapter Board of Director’s whose mission is to “promote the highest level of business ethics in the defense and national security community.” Gen Huntley has been married to his High School sweetheart and best friend Ruth for over 40 years. They have two wonderful daughters and two high energy grandsons.
