Mr. Tombe has more than 26 years of IT management experience in the Federal government serving in a variety of Agencies on both the West and East coast. Mr. Tombe has served as the Chief Technology Officer of US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) since 2005. Mr. Tombe is leading the formation of cross-cutting integrated technology strategies and architectures, the establishment of CBP’s Strategic Technology Direction and its associated Information Technology Transformation initiatives. Mr. Tombe is the recipient of numerous high profile awards and honors. Just a few of these include being named a Fed 100 Executive of the year for 2013, 2014 Federal 50 Executive of year and the Federal Executive of the Year by FedScoop in 2012. Mr. Tombe is a widely recognized public speaker on topics of innovation in government, cloud adoption, open standards, agile methodologies, and strategies that reduce the cost of government.
