Dave Wooddell is a Practice Manager at AWS supporting the US Government and their contractors. In this role, he leads a team of AWS consultants to help build customer solutions in support of their missions.

Dave transitioned to AWS following an illustrious 24-year tenure in the US Air Force, where he excelled as both an acquisitions officer and a mathematician. Throughout his Air Force career, Dave specialized in directed energy research, RF systems, modeling and simulation, and space system design and performance. His dedication to innovation is evident in his work, where he has championed the integration of modern technologies such as automation, machine learning, and high-performance compute-enabled digital twin environments to revolutionize legacy programs.

Dave holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Operations Research from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Dave currently resides in Washington, D.C., metro area.
