Ms. Engelhardt is the Director for Unmanned Systems within the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition) and Department of the Navy’s lead for Replicator. Her portfolio includes Surface, Undersea, and enabling technologies such as autonomy, artificial intelligence, machine learning, energy, command, control and communications, sensors, kinetic and non-kinetic payloads. She is considered a Subject Matter Expert in Acquisition. Her experience spans Naval Aviation, Marine Corps Expeditionary Air/Ground, and Naval Unmanned Systems. As a Congressional Fellow, and Military Legislative Assistant, Ms. Engelhardt advised Senator Feinstein on all military matters.
Ms. Engelhardt has served in several disciplines to include research and development, requirements development, test and evaluation, logistics, congressional affairs and all facets of program management.
She is an original plank holder for the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Research, Development and Acquisition for Unmanned Systems and is a known futurist, creative thinker, change advocate, problem solver and collaborator.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Science and is a commercially rated pilot and proud mother of three accomplished women.
